Hifdh of Quran
Hifdh of Quran refers to the memorization and preservation of the entire Quran.
There are 3 types of HIfdh for students.
Full Time Hifdh: This is preferred for students ten years or older, however kids as young as eight also join full time hifdh school. It takes three years or more to complete. The Hifdh teachers prefer to enroll students who show commitment, are fluent in reading Quran with Tajweed, and want to become Hafidh of Quran. Students can enroll in a full time hifdh school or do it full time in their house with an online of in-person teacher. Full time students also have homework and to come prepared in class with their memorization.
Part-time Hifdh: Part-time Hifdh is two hours of Quran Memorization with a teacher daily along with regular school. The students go on their own pace but are usually encouraged to memorize half to one page a day. There is only enough time to concentrate on new memorization for the teachers so the students are usually responsible for reviewing their previous memorization.
Go on your own pace for HIfdh: Kids memorize with a teacher on daily or weekly basis and are able to even memorize the whole Quran with consistent pace.
